Beşiktaş v Fenerbahçe (TFF Super Cup)

Beşiktaş, the 2008/09 Super League Champions and the 2008/09 Turkish Cup Champions will take on the 2008/09 Super League 4th place finishers Fenerbahçe in the 'TFF Super Cup' clash on the 2nd of August 2009.
The Turkish Football Federation states that, if one team has earned both titles in the one season, they will take on the 'runners up' of the Turkish Cup. Which in this case is Fenerbahçe who had lost 4-2 to Beşiktaş in the finals.

The match will take place at İstanbul Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadium where the terraces will be split evenly amonst the fans.

Kick Off: 3/08/09 - 04:00am EST.

Basketballers to begin preparations

Beşiktaş Basketball team will be kicking off their new season preparations on the 3rd of August.
The players are to gather at the Beşiktaş Arena to kick start their training period. Our new transfers Engin Atsur and Australian player Brad Newley will join their new team mates right after their campaigns in their national teams.

Our team will be part of Pre-Season competition both in Turkey and other countries. They are expected to play upto 16 Pre-Season games during September.

The Beko Basketball League is expected to kick during the seconds week of October. Our team will participate in its first official match in the Turkish Cup during the first week of October.

Our coach Burak Biyiktay said in his interview on the BJK Website, our training period will begin with emphasis on condition, speed and resistance.

We wish our Basketball team a productive pre season followed by a successful campaign during the league.

A draw in our second match in the Peace Cup has ended our journey at 2nd place in Group D.

Beşiktaş had taken on Olympique Lyon in our opening match wich ended 1-1.
Our second match of the competition which also ended a draw against Portugal's FC Porto has left Beşiktaş on 2 points in 2nd place of the group.

Beşiktaş football team will take on FC Porto from Protugal in our second match of the Pre Season - Peace Cup on the 29th of July 2009.

The match will kick-off at 06:30am Thursday morning (30/07/09) in Australia.
