Beşiktaş, the Super League and Turkish Cup champions took on fenerbahçe, the Super League 4th place finishers whom nobody had an idea for what reason and under what title they were apart of this competition, in the TFF Super Cup. Fenerbahçe, with referee Yunus Yıldırım won 1 out of the 3 titles this year. The 2008/09 season has now officially ended with the 2009/10 season kicking off on Friday night. The opening match will kick off with the Champions versing Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyespor away.
